Epoxy Countertops

Epoxy Countertops from SBV

Epoxy is not just for floors. SBV Concrete Coatings also creates custom epoxy countertops, using the same hand-worked techniques behind our metallic floors to give kitchen and bar counters a new look. One recent project was a kitchen in a rental property, where we created a granite-inspired finish that gave the space a fresh, upscale feel.

An epoxy countertop is poured and shaped on site over your existing counters or a prepared base, then worked by hand with pigments to create the look you want. That can mean a granite-inspired pattern, soft marble veining, or the kind of swirled metallic effect you see on our metallic epoxy floors. Because each top is finished by hand, no two come out exactly alike.

Countertop work is custom, so the best first step is a conversation. We look at your counters, talk through colors and how the space is used, and explain what is involved before giving you a written estimate. Call (303) 241-0610 or request a free quote to get started.

Why it works

Why choose epoxy countertops

A Custom Look Without Replacing Cabinets

In many cases epoxy can be applied over existing counters once they are properly prepared, which can avoid tearing out cabinets and tops. We will look at your current counters and tell you honestly whether they are a good base or need other work first.

Granite-Inspired or Marbled Finishes

Pigments are worked into the epoxy by hand to create stone-inspired patterns, marble veining or metallic swirls. You choose the colors and style, and we create a top that fits your kitchen, bar or rental property.

Seamless, Glossy Surface

Epoxy cures into a smooth, seamless surface without grout lines. Everyday crumbs and spills wipe up easily with mild soap and water. A clear finish coat gives the counter real depth and a glossy, polished look.

A Practical Upgrade for Rentals

For rental properties and short-term rentals, refreshed counters can change how a whole kitchen looks in photos and in person. We created a granite-inspired epoxy kitchen for a rental property, giving the owner an updated look without a full remodel.

The install

How SBV installs it

  1. Consultation and Counter Check

We look at your existing counters, edges and backsplash, check whether they are a sound base, and talk through colors and style.

  2. Prep and Protection

We protect cabinets, floors and appliances, then sand, clean and repair the counter surface so the epoxy bonds properly.

  3. Base Color Coat

A base coat sets the background color and seals the surface, including the edges.

  4. Design Pour

We pour the epoxy and work pigments by hand to create the granite-inspired, marble or metallic look you chose.

  5. Clear Finish Coat

A clear coat adds depth and protection. Cure time depends on temperature and the system chosen, and we will tell you when the counters are ready for use.

A good fit for

  • Kitchens in rental properties
  • Airbnbs and short-term rentals
  • Home bars and basement kitchens
  • Kitchen islands
  • Dated laminate or tile counters

FAQ

Epoxy Countertops FAQ

Still have a question? Call or text (303) 241-0610.

Can epoxy go over my existing countertops?

In many cases, yes. Laminate, tile and other solid counters can often be prepared and coated if they are sound and securely attached. Damaged, loose or water-swollen tops may need repair or replacement first. We will look at your counters in person and give you an honest recommendation before quoting.

Are epoxy countertops heat resistant?

Epoxy can be damaged by hot pots and pans set directly on it, so we recommend always using trivets and hot pads. Treat an epoxy top much like you would many other counter surfaces: protect it from direct heat and avoid cutting directly on it. We go over simple care tips when the job is done.

How do I clean an epoxy countertop?

Mild dish soap and warm water with a soft cloth handle most daily cleaning. Avoid abrasive scrubbers and harsh chemicals, which can dull the finish. Wipe up spills promptly. With basic care, an epoxy countertop keeps its glossy look and stays easy to clean.

Can you match my floor or cabinets?

We can work with you on colors that complement your cabinets, backsplash or floor. Because each countertop is finished by hand, we cannot copy an exact stone slab or another floor line for line, but we can create a look in the same color family and style. Bring photos you like to the consultation.
